CFOA smackdown

That's what we got... a smackdown. Handed to us by the great Atlantic Ocean and all its inhabitants.  John M, CJ, Johnny and I ran out early and trolled 120 depth for the majority of the day, and never got a knockdown.  Late in the afternoon we went back to an FSFA artificial reef and fished jigs in some big bait pods.  I fished the bottom and got rocked up a few times but never brought up anything legal to keep. Jonny, the same.  CJ, on the other hand, had the hot hand when two cobia came up to the boat.  The bigger of the two took a storm swim bait and it was all gaff from there.  The cobia was around 17 pounds and it was nice getting a keeper fish in the boat.  We thought it might hold a spot in the ladies' division of the tournament but it didn't make the cut.  Oh well, it was a nice day on the water regardless of the sweltering heat.
